STUDIO website design agency – see your site with CMS and SEO in place first
STUDIO is a Japanese no-code tool for building beautifully designed websites without writing code. Getting an easy-to-update CMS and solid SEO basics right, though, still takes design and structure experience. This page covers when STUDIO is the right choice, how to set up its CMS, which SEO settings matter and how a build usually runs – and why UNANOBO starts every STUDIO project with a free demo.
- Free demo – decide after you see it
- By message, in Japanese or English
- One person from demo to launch

When STUDIO is a good fit – and when to choose another tool
STUDIO lets you design pages visually in the browser and publish them on its own hosting, with no server to manage. It is popular in Japan for design-led sites. Before hiring a STUDIO website design agency, check that your project plays to the tool's strengths.
- Good fit: brand sites, company sites, shop or school sites, recruiting sites and service landing pages
- Good fit: sites that rely on photography, white space and scroll animations to make an impression
- Good fit: news, blogs or case pages that your own staff add in a fixed format
- Consider alternatives: online stores with a cart – Shopify or BASE are the usual choice
- Consider alternatives: membership areas, booking systems or complex search that need custom logic
Many brands combine the two: STUDIO tells the brand story, and a Shopify or BASE store handles checkout. For a wider comparison, see no-code website production and how to choose a CMS.
What to check before hiring a STUDIO agency
Because anyone can open STUDIO, quality and long-term usability depend heavily on who sets it up. When comparing studios or freelancers, look beyond the portfolio and ask about these points.
- Project ownership: is the STUDIO project and paid plan under your own account? If it sits in the builder's account, managing it later gets difficult
- Custom domain: is the domain registered in your name and connected to STUDIO?
- Editable content: is a CMS in place so your team can add news and cases without help?
- Mobile layout: is the phone version designed properly? STUDIO lets you adjust the layout for each screen width
- Handover: do you get a walkthrough of what to edit and what to leave alone?
If you are moving an existing site to STUDIO, you also need URL redirects and a content plan. Our guide to migrating to STUDIO walks through the steps.
A working demo shows quality and ease of use better than any portfolio. Send us your site address or logo to start.
Setting up STUDIO CMS so it stays easy to update
STUDIO's CMS lets you add pages with the same structure – articles, news, cases – just by filling in fields. A well-planned setup means anyone on your team can publish without breaking the design.
- One collection per use: news, blog, cases, team profiles, FAQ
- Fixed fields: title, date, thumbnail, body, category – the information every entry needs
- Connected lists: new entries appear automatically on the home page and list pages
- Categories and tags: readers find what they need even as content grows
- SEO fields: a title, description and share image for each entry
The number of CMS items and available features depend on the STUDIO plan, so share how much content you expect to publish early. Check the latest plan details on STUDIO's official site.

STUDIO SEO basics to set before launch
STUDIO handles the core SEO settings – page titles, descriptions and social sharing – from its editor. Run through this checklist before going live:
- A unique title and description on every page that match its content and keywords
- A heading hierarchy (h1, h2, h3) that follows the structure of the content
- Descriptive alt text on images, and no oversized images slowing pages down
- An OGP image and title for social sharing
- Google Search Console registered and GA4 or other tracking installed
- Short, readable URLs in English letters and numbers
After launch, the most effective routine is to check which queries appear in Search Console, then add CMS articles or refine descriptions. Rankings are decided by search engines, so steady work on these basics is what keeps your site easy to find.
Tell us what you plan to update and we will build a free STUDIO demo with the CMS structure included.
How a STUDIO landing page or website build runs
A landing page packs everything into one page, so structure and copy shape the result. A full website follows similar steps; a small site typically takes one to two months.
- Goal: choose the one action you want – an inquiry, a booking, a download
- Structure and copy: problem, solution, why you, process, FAQ
- Design: settle the first view, and design the phone layout alongside
- CMS and forms: put changing content in the CMS and connect inquiry forms
- Pre-launch checks: custom domain, SEO settings, tracking tags, form tests
It helps to have ready: logo files, photos, a short note on your strengths, two or three sites you like and your domain details. No copy yet? We can build the outline with you first.
How UNANOBO builds on STUDIO: a free demo first
Before you commit, UNANOBO builds a free demo based on your logo, brand colors and current content. Seeing it also tells you whether STUDIO suits your needs; if another platform such as Shopify or WordPress fits better, we say so and explain why.
The process is free demo, feedback, launch, growth. At launch you get a walkthrough of the CMS, and the project and domain stay in your name. The founder handles every project personally, from the first demo to SEO and ads after launch, and everything runs by message in Japanese or English.

FAQ
Can the free demo be built on STUDIO?
Yes. If you want a STUDIO site, the demo is built in STUDIO and works like the real thing. You check it on a computer and phone, then decide. If another tool looks like a better fit, we explain why.
What if I decide not to go ahead after the demo?
That is fine. The demo is free and there is no cost if you stop. If you like the direction, you get a plan and an estimate.
Who pays for the STUDIO plan?
The plan is normally contracted under your own STUDIO account. Keeping it in your name means you stay in control even if you change agencies later. We recommend a plan based on your CMS volume and the features you need.
Can we update the site ourselves after launch?
Yes. News, cases and similar content are set up so you only fill in CMS fields, and you get guidance by message. Larger changes such as new layouts or pages can still be handled by us.
How long does a STUDIO project take?
A single landing page usually takes a few weeks; a small website one to two months. Timing depends on when copy and photos are ready. If you have a target launch date, tell us at the start.
Does working remotely by message cause problems?
No. STUDIO is edited in the browser and the demo is shared by URL, so the whole project runs smoothly by message, in Japanese or English. Questions get a reply within two business days.
