SEO content rewrite service – lift the pages already close to page one
Pages that sit on page two or three of Google are already seen as relevant, yet almost nobody clicks them. Rewriting these pages is often the fastest SEO win available, faster than publishing new articles from scratch. This page shows how to pick the right pages, find what the top results cover that yours does not, rewrite step by step and measure the result.

What an SEO rewrite is and why page 2–3 pages come first
An SEO rewrite revisits a published page – its title, structure and content – so it answers the searcher's question more completely and more directly. Fixing typos or changing the date rarely moves rankings; the goal is a better answer.
Pages with an average position of roughly 11 to 30 respond best, because they already have a lot going for them:
- An existing foundation: the page is indexed and Google already links it to the topic
- Accumulated value: backlinks, internal links and page age all carry over when the URL stays the same
- Big upside: moving onto page one usually changes clicks far more than moving from position 25 to 15
- Clear work: add what is missing, fix what is off – the task is specific and easy to scope
Before commissioning more new content, check how much potential is sitting in the pages you already have. For the bigger picture of growing a content library, see content SEO.
How to choose pages to rewrite: four signals in Search Console
Rewriting everything at once costs a lot and makes results hard to read. Open the Performance report in Google Search Console, set it to the last three months and look at pages and queries with these signals:
- Average position 11–30: start with pages one step away from page one
- High impressions, low click-through rate: sometimes a better title and description alone make a difference
- Unexpected queries: the page shows up for searches it does not really answer – a sign of a mismatch
- Close to revenue: topics near an inquiry or purchase pay off most when they climb
List five to ten candidates by impressions and write one line for each: target query, current position, reason to rewrite. That list becomes your baseline for measuring results later. For how rewrites fit into a wider ranking plan, see how to improve search rankings.
Send your site address or one page you care about, and we will pick a candidate and rewrite it as a free demo.
Find the gap before you write
The direction of a rewrite comes from the difference between your page and the pages above it. Search your target query, read the top five results and note:
- Search intent: are the top pages comparisons, how-to guides or pricing explainers – and does your format match?
- Topics covered: which subtopics do most top pages include that yours skips?
- Time to answer: do they give the answer in the first lines while yours opens with a long introduction?
- Freshness: are prices, rules and screenshots current?
- Original input: first-hand experience, real criteria, photos or examples nobody else has
Copying the competitors' headings produces one more generic page. Use the gap to see what is missing, then add what only your business can say – that is what earns the climb.

The rewrite, step by step
With the analysis done, work through the page in this order. Typically one page takes a few hours to a day including research.
- Title: put the main keyword early and say clearly what the reader will learn
- Opening: give the answer the searcher wants in the first few lines
- Headings: add the missing subtopics and merge the ones that overlap
- Body: update old facts and add steps, typical ranges and cautions the reader can act on
- Internal links: link naturally to related articles and service pages, and link to this page from other pages too
- Description and structured data: refresh the meta description and align any FAQ markup with the new content
- After publishing: keep the same URL and request indexing with the URL Inspection tool in Search Console
Log the date and the changes for every page you rewrite, so you can explain any movement later. If you would rather hand over new articles as well, see our SEO article writing service.

Common rewrite mistakes and how to measure results
A rewrite can also push a page down. The usual causes:
- Changing the URL without a redirect and losing the value the page had built
- Deleting a paragraph that brought traffic from a different query
- Several similar articles competing, so Google cannot tell which one should rank
- Stuffing keywords until the text reads badly
- Changing many pages at once, so nobody knows which change worked
Wait four to eight weeks, then compare equal periods before and after. Watch average position for the target query, impressions, click-through rate and the inquiries or sales the page brings. If a page barely moves, check the gap to the top results again and plan the next change. Where two similar articles overlap, merging them into one and redirecting the other is often the cleaner fix.

FAQ
What does the free demo include?
Send the URL of a page you want to lift. We check the target keyword and the gap to the top results, then show you the rewritten page on screen and explain what changed. It costs nothing.
What if I decide not to go ahead?
Then we stop there, with no cost at all. You are welcome to use the direction shown in the demo for your own rewrites.
How soon do rankings change after a rewrite?
Typically changes appear within a few weeks to two months. Rankings are decided by search engines, so no specific position or timeline can be promised. After publishing we follow Search Console and suggest further adjustments when needed.
What do I need to prepare?
One page URL is enough to start. If you share view access to Search Console, pages can be chosen from real impressions and positions. Industry knowledge and your own photos help make the rewritten page stand out.
Do you work only with WordPress?
No – any site where text can be edited works, including Shopify and BASE blogs and product pages. If you prefer to publish yourself, the rewrite can be delivered as a finished draft.
Can this work remotely by message?
Yes. Analysis, drafts and reviews all happen online, so messages are all it takes. You get a reply within two business days, in Japanese or English.
