Osteopathic clinic website in Japan – symptom pages, menus and booking, shown first as a free demo

People in pain look at a clinic website to answer two questions fast: can this clinic help with my problem, and can I get in today or tomorrow? Clear symptom pages, honest prices and easy booking turn that visit into an appointment. This page covers what a website for a seikotsuin, sekkotsuin or seitai clinic in Japan needs, the advertising rules to keep in mind, and how UNANOBO starts with a free demo of your clinic's site.

  • Free demo – decide after you see it
  • By message, in Japanese or English
  • One person from demo to launch

What patients check on an osteopathic clinic website

Most visitors already know what hurts: lower back, neck, a sports injury, whiplash after a car accident. They search on a phone, compare a few clinics nearby and often decide within minutes. A good osteopathic clinic website in Japan is built to answer their questions in that short window.

  • Do you treat my problem? Back pain, stiff shoulders, accident injuries, sports injuries – listed clearly
  • Insurance or self-pay, and how much? A first-visit estimate and when health insurance applies
  • Is it easy to get there? Directions from the station, parking, evening and weekend hours
  • Who will treat me? Photos of the practitioners, their qualifications and approach
  • How do I book? Phone, online booking or LINE, right on the page

Open your current site on a phone and check these five points. Anything that takes more than two taps to find is where to start. For Google Maps, reviews and local search, see marketing for osteopathic clinics.

Advertising rules for seikotsuin, sekkotsuin and seitai

Advertising by judo therapy clinics (seikotsuin and sekkotsuin) is limited by the Judo Therapist Act, and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has been working on guidelines that also look at websites. Seitai clinics are not licensed under a national qualification, so the legal position differs, but the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations applies to everyone, and any wording that suggests medical diagnosis or treatment is risky.

  • Describe insurance accurately: health insurance for judo therapy covers acute and subacute injuries such as fractures, dislocations, bruises and sprains. Say clearly that chronic stiffness and fatigue are self-pay
  • Avoid guaranteed results: no "cured for sure", "fixed in one visit" or "the most effective in town"
  • Handle testimonials and before/after photos with care: note that results vary and avoid misleading images or figures
  • Be precise about qualifications: seitai clinics should avoid titles that look like national licenses and words like "treatment" or "diagnosis"
  • State the terms of any offer: who, how long and how many times, on the same screen

Rules and interpretations are revised from time to time, so check the latest materials from the ministry and the Consumer Affairs Agency before launch, and ask your association or local public health center about anything unclear. Medical and dental clinics follow a separate set of medical advertising guidelines – see clinic website design.

Symptom pages: one concern, one page

Patients search by symptom and area, for example "back pain seikotsuin" plus the town name. Separate pages for your main symptoms are easier to read and easier for search engines to understand than one crowded home page. A symptom page works well in this order:

  • Recognizable complaints in the patient's own words: a heavy lower back in the morning, pain after sitting
  • Possible causes, explained in general terms
  • How a session runs: consultation, assessment, treatment and self-care advice, with photos
  • Insurance or self-pay for this symptom, with a price guide
  • How many visits people typically need, noting that it varies
  • Booking buttons in the middle and at the end, for both phone and online booking

Start with your three to five most common symptoms, written in the head practitioner's voice. Copying the same text and swapping the symptom name makes the pages look thin and rarely performs well in search.

Demo sites we built

Template demos with fictional brands. Yours is built with your own brand and content.

Presenting self-pay menus and prices

Pelvic and posture correction, postnatal care, acupuncture and training sessions are where your clinic stands out. If content and prices are unclear, first-time visitors hesitate even to call. Include these on the menu page:

  • Menu name, duration and price including tax, in one list
  • One or two lines on who each menu suits
  • What happens on the first visit and whether there is a first-visit fee
  • Terms for multi-visit tickets or monthly plans: expiry and cancellation
  • How insurance and self-pay sessions combine on the same day
  • For traffic accident injuries, a note on compulsory auto insurance (jibaiseki) paperwork and seeing an orthopedic doctor in parallel

Publish the price list as plain text so it reads well on a phone and you can update it yourself through the admin panel whenever prices or menus change.

How should your menus and prices read?

We turn your current menu into a free demo of your self-pay and price pages.

Online booking for seikotsuin and seitai clinics

People in pain want to book now, and the front desk often cannot answer the phone during sessions. Combining 24-hour online booking with phone booking is the standard setup. Decide these points before choosing a system:

  • Booking unit: time slots, choice of practitioner, or different lengths per menu
  • New vs returning patients: longer slots for first visits and an online intake form
  • Changes and cancellations: cut-off times and the no-show policy, shown on the booking screen
  • Reminders: confirmation emails or LINE messages to reduce missed visits
  • Entry points: your website, the booking button on Google Maps and your LINE official account, all feeding one calendar

Most booking tools are monthly subscriptions, and features and costs vary by product. If you already use one, the website simply links to it in the right places. For a comparison of options, see websites with a booking system.

How UNANOBO builds your clinic website: a free demo first

Before you commit, UNANOBO builds a free demo based on your clinic's name, menus and atmosphere. You see the home page, a symptom page, the price list and the booking buttons on your phone and computer, then decide whether to go ahead.

The process is simple: free demo, feedback, launch, growth. The founder handles every project personally, so you keep one contact from the first demo to improvements after launch, and everything runs by message in Japanese or English. After launch, new symptom pages, MEO and Google Ads can continue through the same contact.

FAQ

Is the demo really free?

Yes. Using your clinic name, menus and your current website or Google Maps listing, we build a working demo centered on the home page. You decide whether to continue after seeing it.

What if I see the demo and decide not to go ahead?

There is no cost at all, and no follow-up sales pressure. You are welcome to come back later.

How long does it take, and what do I need to prepare?

A small site with a few symptom pages typically takes one to two months. Helpful materials: your logo, photos of the clinic and sessions, the menu and price list, opening hours and details of any booking system you use. Placeholder images can hold the layout while photos are prepared.

Can you check that the wording follows the advertising rules?

We write with the Judo Therapist Act and misleading-representation rules in mind and avoid absolute claims. The final responsibility lies with the clinic, so we recommend confirming any unclear wording with your association or public health center, and we can list those passages for you to check.

Can I keep my current booking system?

In most cases, yes. The website links to your booking page from the right places, and LINE and Google Maps entry points can be aligned with it. If you need a new system, we choose one together that fits how your clinic takes appointments.

You work remotely – can everything be done by message?

Yes. Briefing, reviews and revisions all run by message in Japanese or English, so you can reply between sessions without booking calls or meetings. Every message gets a reply within two business days.
