Landing page design cost in Japan – what each price really includes
Quotes for a landing page in Japan range from a few tens of thousands of yen to well over one million. Almost all of that gap comes down to which pieces of work are included: copywriting, design, A/B testing, ad setup. This page breaks the cost into its parts, explains what each price tier typically covers and lists the questions worth asking before you sign – and shows why UNANOBO builds a free demo before talking about budget.
- Free demo – decide after you see it
- By message, in Japanese or English
- One person from demo to launch

Typical landing page design cost in Japan by tier
Landing page (LP) production in Japan usually falls into four price tiers per page. These are general market ranges based on published rates of agencies and freelancers, and they move with page length and the materials you already have.
- Up to about ¥100,000: a template filled with your text and images. You supply the structure and copy, and revisions are usually limited
- ¥100,000–300,000: an original design with mobile-ready coding. The producer drafts the structure; you provide the copy or get light editing
- ¥300,000–600,000: research on audience and competitors, structure and sales copy written for you. Forms and tracking tags are often included
- ¥600,000 and up: market research, photography or illustration, plus A/B testing and ad campaigns after launch – a plan built around ongoing improvement
The ranges look wide because very different services share the same label, "LP production". Decide which tier of work you actually need first, and comparing quotes becomes much easier.
What you pay for: six components of an LP
Looking at the price component by component makes it easier to judge. Check that a quote lists these items separately and does not bundle everything into one line.
- Planning and structure: who the page speaks to, what it says and in what order. This has the biggest effect on results
- Copywriting: headline, benefits, FAQ, button text. Whether you hand over the writing changes the price more than anything else
- Design: the first screen, diagrams, image parts. The longer the page, the more design work
- Coding: mobile layout, speed, motion. Building it into WordPress or Shopify costs differently from a standalone page
- Forms and tracking: inquiry or booking form, thank-you page, GA4 and ad conversion tags
- Assets: photo shoots, illustrations, paid stock images. Your own photos can keep this low
The biggest price swing comes from who writes the structure and copy. Writing it in-house lowers the fee but takes your own time. Deciding what to hand over and what to keep is the real starting point for any LP budget.
Send us your product or service details, and a demo with real structure and copy makes the scope and budget much easier to decide.
Seven questions to ask when comparing quotes
Two quotes for ¥300,000 can cover very different work. Asking these questions early helps you avoid extra charges later.
- Are structure and copy included, and is there a limit on length or rewrites?
- How many design options do you get, and how many rounds of changes?
- Are both mobile and desktop designs included?
- Are the form, thank-you page and auto-reply email set up?
- Who installs GA4 and ad conversion tags?
- Are server, domain or form tool fees charged separately each month?
- What does a text edit or image swap cost after launch?
Even a single page involves more work than it seems once forms and tracking are counted. If you are also planning a company site, our guide to website creation cost helps you split the budget between the two.

Costs after launch: A/B tests and ad setup
A landing page starts working once it is live. If traffic comes from ads, expect these costs and tasks on top of production.
- Ad account setup: Google Ads or Meta Ads campaigns, conversion tracking, retargeting tags
- A/B testing: two versions of a headline, first screen or button, then comparing results. Each round takes time to create and analyze
- Ongoing improvement: a monthly plan to adjust structure and copy based on data. Outsourced, it typically starts from several tens of thousands of yen a month
- Ad spend: what you pay Google or Meta. It sits outside the production fee and is normally paid from your own account
A/B tests need enough traffic to show a clear winner, so on a small ad budget it makes sense to test one big element at a time, starting with the first screen. Our guide to improving a landing page walks through the process. Create ad and analytics accounts in your own name so the data stays with you whoever runs them.

How to keep the cost down without hurting results
There are good ways to lower an LP budget, and cutting in the wrong place shows up in your results. Separate what can be trimmed from what should stay.
- Easy to trim: use photos you already have, keep motion minimal, launch with fewer sections first
- Worth keeping: structure and first-screen copy, mobile readability, a simple form, tracking tags
- Common mistake 1: a cheap template goes live with no tracking, so there is nothing to improve from
- Common mistake 2: the whole budget goes into design, leaving nothing for ads or tests
- Common mistake 3: revisions run past the included limit and extra fees exceed the original quote
Splitting the budget into three parts – production, three months of ad spend and time for improvement – keeps the whole plan balanced. For the production steps and how to choose who builds it, see landing page production.

FAQ
Does the free demo cost anything?
No. The demo is a landing page with structure and copy built from your product or service information. If you decide not to go ahead after seeing it, there is nothing to pay.
How much does UNANOBO charge for a landing page?
We do not publish a price list, because the work depends on how much copy you hand over, whether photos or illustrations are needed and whether ad setup and A/B testing are included. After the demo you get a plan and estimate covering only the parts you need.
Can we start without copy or photos?
Yes. We can build the structure and copy from your product materials or current website, and use placeholder images to settle the layout while photos are prepared. You get a list of needed materials early on.
How long does it take to launch an LP?
Typically two to four weeks once the structure and materials are ready. Photo shoots or extensive illustration take longer. We reply to inquiries within two business days and give you a rough schedule at the demo stage.
Can you set up ads and run A/B tests too?
Yes. Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and conversion tags, and A/B tests after launch all go through the same contact. Ad and analytics accounts are created in your name, so the data stays with you.
Can we work together without meeting in person?
Yes. Everything runs by message, in Japanese or English. You receive a link to the demo, review it on your computer or phone when it suits you and send your comments in writing.
